Above Grade Pump Station Liquid Level Sensor

When a Virginia food manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their wastewater pump lift stations, they turned to Flowline. Each lift station receives a continuous flow of boiling water and cornstarch from their process tanks. The liquid is hot, foaming and turbulent, and every 6-12 months their float level switches would fail due to abrasion. Located underground, the replacement process is very expensive, because an OSHA contractor that’s certified in confined space entry must do it. For this reason, Flowline suggested the use of our pulse radar sensor that’s installed above grade and unaffected by wastewater process variables.

The pulse radar sensor is externally mounted to the sump top and provides continuous level data to the PLC, which in turn, provides duplexing pump control and alarm actuation. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
